Spotlight on: Head Protection
When the Ministry of Defence Police needed a rapid, force-wide rollout of mid-cut ballistic helmets, we stepped up — and delivered. Invited to tender in July 2023, we moved swiftly through the YPO Framework 1204 process, securing a £1.5M contract just 20 weeks later. By March 2024, delivery was completed on time and in full — just nine months after the tender was published.
But it wasn’t just about speed. The helmet itself impressed during wearer trials for its lightweight design, superior balance, and all-day comfort — key features for high-tempo firearms operations. As the MOD Police’s Chief Firearms Instructor put it: “I’ve been in firearms for over 20 years, and this is the most comfortable helmet I’ve ever worn.”
